Oktoberfest has begun!
This year's Oktoberfest runs from 17th of September to the 3rd of October. Will you be there?
What is Oktoberfest?
Oktoberfest is an annual festival held in Munich, Germany, that claims to be the largest folk (and beer) festival in the World - some of the beer halls can hold up to 10,000 visitors.
The mayor of Munich taps the first keg to open the festival, and over the course of the next two weeks about 2 million gallons of beer will be drunk, along with thousands of Bratwurst sausages, giant pretzels and wild oxen.
As well as the beer hall, there are games, amusement rides, music and dancing. The opening day also sees a colourful parage through the streets of Munich - you can see the full programme here.
